摘要: This paper considers applying physical-layer network coding (PNC) to orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) modulated mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) resolve the outstanding issue of short contact time between nodes due their mobility. Ideally, PNC enables data exchange twice as fast traditional scheduling, and thus, it is a potential performance booster in MANETs. However, application MANETs challenged by carrier offset (CFO) problem inherently caused node-motion-induced Doppler shifts asynchronous oscillators. CFO induces intercarrier interference (ICI) that degrades performance. In this paper, we investigate CFO/ICI impact on signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio (SINR) bit error rate (BER) signal detection two-way relay channel (TWRC) based binary phase-shift keying (BPSK) modulation. We find with power control suffers, at most, 3 dB SINR penalty compared generic point-to-point communications both flat-fading frequency-selective channels. also belief propagation (BP) algorithm could be employed effectively tackle ICI reduce its BER PNC. For compensation PNC, propose method amounts positioning relay's local oscillator middle received frequencies from two end TWRC. Importantly, show 1) can theoretically maximize worst 2) case similar uplinks TWRC, allows achieve close ideal case, i.e., without CFO. Overall, demonstrates feasible general, laying foundation for future studies.
