摘要: A new paradigm in engineering design, known as set-based concurrent (SBCE), has been proposed which seems to offer advantages over more traditional techniques. This research, therefore, had three goals: 1) develop a clear understanding of the definition SBCE and contrast that with other theories, 2) assess “set-basedness” aerospace industry, 3) based on assessment, propose model for implementing within an development project. While consists wide variety design techniques, basic notions can be stated two principles: engineers should consider large number alternatives, i.e., sets designs, are gradually narrowed final multidisciplinary environment, specialists independently review from their own perspectives, generate possible solutions, then look regions overlap between those integrated solution. research found while no company’s process completely fulfilled both these criteria, many techniques used industry. Building some observed industry practices, is combines concepts lean manufacturing, such “flow” “pull,” implement engineering.
