Parameter selection of straight bladed vertical axis wind turbine

摘要: In this paper, aerodynamic performance of a straight bladed vertical axis wind turbine (SVAW) with various design parameters is examined. The computing method based on the multiple stream tubes Strickland, but takes into account effect aspect ratio. computed values agree test results satisfactorily. SVAW depends blade solidity sigma and ratio lambda. For lambda, power coefficient C /SUB p/ starting torque To/ have been computed. There are different maximum p.m/ for cases, contour map iso-maximum iso-starting can be obtained in sigma-lambda plane. This figure shows relation some parameter it may called as characterization SVAW, useful to select parameters.
