摘要: Resting epidermal keratinocytes contain large amounts of interleukin 1 (IL-1), but the function this cytokine in skin remains unclear. To further define role IL-1 cutaneous biology, we have generated two lines transgenic mice (TgIL-1.1 and TgIL-1.2) which overexpress alpha basal keratinocytes. There was high-level tissue-specific expression transgene mRNA protein quantities were liberated into circulation from epidermis both lines. TgIL-1.1 mice, had highest level expression, developed a spontaneous disease characterized by hair loss, scaling, focal inflammatory lesions. Histologically, nonlesional these animals hyperkeratosis dermal mononuclear cell infiltrate macrophage/monocyte lineage. Inflammatory lesions marked mixed cellular infiltrate, acanthosis, and, some cases, parakeratosis. These findings confirm concept as primary cytokine, release is able to initiate localize an reaction. Furthermore, provide first definitive evidence that mediators can be released enter systemic thereby influence, paracrine or endocrine fashion, wide variety other types.
