摘要: Background The prognostic significance of the tumor microenvironment, which is created by both cancer cells and cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs), has been increasingly recognized. purpose this study was to analyze markers stage I squamous cell carcinoma (SqCC), with special reference immunophenotypes CAFs. Methods A total 142 patients SqCC were included in study. We examined expressions E-cadherin, laminin-5, podoplanin, c-MET, carbonic anhydrase IX (CA-IX), CD10, CD44 those CA-IX, CAFs evaluate their value. Results Patients low E-cadherin expression showed a significantly poorer prognosis than high ( P = .013 .0011, respectively). According subgroup analyses combining podoplanin CAFs, 5-year overall survival 7.0% as compared other groups Conclusions current indicates that could have value independent SqCC.
