摘要: Certain kinds of extracurricular activities develop interpersonal, leadership, and participatory skills that are important to citizenship politics. In this research, the focus is on simulated legislative debate question how such might contribute persistent gender differences observed in elite political participation adulthood. Specifically, dynamics, interaction, success students participating a national competition were analyzed. Data came from 2001 John C. Stennis National Student Congress sponsored by Forensic League (NFL) . Women distinctly underrepresented among participants significantly less successful competition. The young women likely exhibit behaviors high verbal nonverbal dominance, but those who engage aggressive behavior rebutting referencing others more be successful. competitive simulation reproduces status hierarchies rewards masculine learning.
