摘要: Abstract A method for the determination of picomole amounts total (−)carnitine and free in presence short-chain acyl(−)carnitines is described. The based on conversion radioactive acetyl-CoA to acetyl(−)carnitine carnitine acetyltransferase oxidized glutathione or N -ethylmaleimide pull reaction near completion, so that linear standard curves are obtained over a wide range. rapid separation from accomplished by selective adsorption latter charcoal acid ethanol. procedure extraction rat liver also allows direct sensitive assay which particularly useful studies requiring low levels acetyl-CoA.
