摘要: The DMF index and OHI were examined in five Taiwan Aboriginal Tribes, Bunun, Paiwan, Rukai, Ami Yami. subjects 843 children (475 boys 368 girls) between 10 15 years of age. Aboriginals used to have very little dental caries, but they now a high caries prevalence. mean number teeth was the least Yami (1.67–2.83) followed by (3.95–4.06) Bunun (3.52–4.60) Tribes. It fairly Paiwan (4.44–8.00) Rukai (5.44–8.11) Quite Oral Hygiene Index (OHI) values observed these tribes. These findings suggest that rapid increase seen late 1970s reflects changes traditional dietary habits 1970s.
