摘要: Morphological differences between paralarvae of two loliginid squid species common in southern African waters (Loligo vulgaris reynaudii and Lolliguncula mercatoris) are described. The are: Loligo — "cheek patches" consisting four dark chromatophores, nine large dorsal chromatophores on the mantle, tentacular clubs broad much wider than tentacle stalks, proximal row three club suckers with others tetraserial, enough to appear crowded surface; pairs of" large, narrow, arranged pairs, small, not particularly crowded. Relationships other myopsids briefly discussed.
