摘要: Past stereotypes of indigenous pastoralists as ignorant and environmentally destructive are being revised ecological social science research advances. As yet, little documentation pastoralists' knowledge exists, even less is known about how this is, or can be, applied to resource management. This paper outlines the Mongolian nomadic its role in rangeland management, showing herders' reflected pasture use norms attitudes toward privatization, well herding practices. The explores potentially contradictory roles perceptions current management context.
