摘要: trans-Dehydrocrotonin (DHC), the major diterpene isolated from Croton cajucara Benth, was assayed for antiulcerogenic acitivity in four induced gastric ulcer models rat. At an oral dose of 100 mg/kg DHC showed a significant effect on ulcers by hypothermic restraint stress, ethanol, and pylorus ligature. No changes indomethacin-induced lesions or modifications parameters such as wall mucus, secretion rate, pH, total acid content were found after treatment. The acute toxicological effects assessed mice. LD 50 values 876 47.2 intraperitoneal administrations, respectively. cytotoxicity also studied. A dose-dependent inhibition cell viability observed V-79 fibroblast cultures with IC 240 μM. high yields obtained dried C. barks well its good activity low toxicity support pharmacological study this compound potential new drug.
