摘要: Water buffalo are less susceptible to Schistosoma japonicum infection than yellow cattle. The factors that affect such differences in susceptibility remain unknown. A Bos taurus genome-wide gene chip was used analyze expression profiles the peripheral blood of water and cattle pre- post-infection with S. japonicum. This study showed most identified differentially expressed genes(DEGs) between were involved immune-related processes, level immune genes lower buffalo. unique DEGs (390) mainly associated inflammation pathways, while (2,114) factors. 83 common may be essential response during infection, highest two ontology (GO) functions regulation fibrinolysis. pathway enrichment analysis constituted similar pathways hosts. first transcriptional natural hosts has enabled us gain new insights into mechanisms govern their or resistance infections.
