摘要: Epicuticular wax weight, leaf dry and area of honey mesquite (Prosopis glandulosa Torr.) leaves were determined periodically during a growing season at six locations in Texas with contrasting climates. Leaf size weight per unit individual trees within each population did not differ significantly on any sampling date. Significant variation was observed among means, both across dates, but the means vary by as much factor two. Amounts epicuticular least April May, increased until July, remained stable thereafter most locations. Population ranged from ca. 4 mg dm-2 east-central May to maximum over 10 north-central October. Honey mesquites arid west semiarid south had no more or than those humid Texas.
