摘要: Disability is pervasive in schizophrenia and refractory to current medication treatments. Inability function everyday settings responsible for the huge indirect costs of schizophrenia, which may be as much three times larger than direct treatment psychotic symptoms. Treatments disability are therefore urgently needed. In order effectively treat disability, its causes must isolated targeted; it seems likely that there multiple with modest overlap. this paper, we review evidence regarding prediction schizophrenia. We suggest cognition, deficits functional capacity, certain clinical symptoms, various environmental societal factors implicated. Further, health status variables, recently recognized severe mental illness, also contribute a manner independent from these other better-studied causes. considered overall real-world functioning interventions aimed at reduction targeting needed, addition cognitive enhancement, skills training, public advocacy better services.
