Investigations on the impact of different carrier frequencies for capacitance based moisture content determination in bulk solids

摘要: This paper discusses a capacitive sensing based approach for online moisture determination of wood pellets. To ensure reliability and proper operation the device even under harsh industrial conditions, robust principle on frequency hopping is required. Therefore, we investigate impact multiple carrier frequencies analyze frequency-dependency material permittivity. Two different electrode topologies, one parallel plates other planar structure, are tested using laboratory prototype in drying chamber. Investigations applicability measurement carried out stationary conditions.
