摘要: Abstract The AE AOD – ΔAE grid proposed by Gobbi et al. (2007) is a graphical method used to visually represent the spectral characterization of aerosol optical depth (AOD), i.e. Angstrom exponent (AE) and its curvature, in order infer fine mode contribution (η) total size particles. Perrone (2014) applied this for wavelengths widely lidar measurements. However, neither case does allow direct relationship between η fraction population. Some discussions are made regarding effect shape composition classical AE-ΔAE plot. potential use particle backscatter measurements, methods together with extinction also discussed context. A modification that yields submicron volume concentration using data, comparison experimental measurements made. Our results indicate modified plot directly obtain submicrometric micrometric population feasible if volume-based bimodal distribution instead number-based one.
