摘要: Aim: To explore the preparedness of Greek dental university students for advising patients to quit smoking; how awareness is modified from beginning studies graduation; and it associated with their smoking habits. Materials methods: Officially registered (n=165) participated in study by completing anonymously a 16-item questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted use standard univariate statistical methods, whereas multivariate relied on logistic regression modelling. Results: Students showed significant knowledge attainment tobacco health effects graduation, although 54% graduating were not aware an association between implant failure. More than 80% considered cessation counselling duty every dentist, 32% believed be ineffective. Almost half felt unprepared provide counselling. Students' attitudes towards did change they personal Non-smokers significantly more optimistic smokers about effectiveness activities. Conclusions: Dental school represent promising baseline education control protocol development clinical intervention techniques.
