摘要: Real-time observation of ultrafast dynamics in the microcosm is a fundamental approach for understanding internal evolution physical, chemical and biological systems. Tools tracing such are flashes light with duration comparable to or shorter than characteristic times system under investigation. While femtosecond (fs) pulses successfully used investigate vibrational molecular systems, real time electron motion all states matter requires temporal resolution attosecond (1 (asec) = 10−18 s) scale. During last decades, continuous efforts ultra-short pulse engineering led development table-top sources which can produce asec pulses. These have been synthesized by using broadband coherent radiation extreme ultraviolet (XUV) spectral region generated interaction intense fs Here, we will review gas phase media solid surfaces IR laser fields. After brief overview process underlying XUV emission form these media, current technology, specifications ongoing developments sources.
