摘要: Coastal dunes are rich in habitats with a high heterogeneity species composition. Though widely recognized as very fragile and dynamic ecosystems, they systematically overexploited. In addition, mismanagement contributes making these highly endangered, especially the Mediterranean area. this study, an impoverished dune system was used to investigate whether lack of indicator species, including characteristic, main diagnostic, alien non-typical, could mislead habitat assignment. plant communities study embedded into anthropogenic pressure territory, primarily due vicinity city by hosting bathing facilities. A cluster analysis based on 49 vegetation plots (releves) performed order assign units EU (92/43/EEC Habitat Directive) corresponding phytosociological units. Eight types were classified two them priority importance. Twelve belonging eight different classes recognized. The cover value non-typical assess conservation status each type. Despite presence well-preserved community, almost all unfavourable status. Furthermore, floristic impoverishment zonation interruption stabilized found. This underlines difficulty identify typical coastal associated when disturbance dramatically changes environmental conditions. Specific management actions for sustainable maintenance endangered suggested.
