摘要: ABSTRACT Thin sand sheets with downstream foresets form in very shallow depths the Platte River and resemble small waves. They produce internal horizontal stratification which is superficially similar to upper flow regime plane bed deposits except that grains are differentiated into alternating coarse fine laminations by sorting processes at foreset. A 12-inch comprised of laminae examined a river bank believed have formed accretion low amplitude waves on floodplain during slowly increasing flood stages.
