Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) reprogrammed from patient somatic offer an unprecedented opportunity recapitulate both normal pathologic human tissue organ development, provides new approaches understanding disease mechanisms drug discovery with higher predictability their effects in humans. Here we review recent progress using iPSCs modeling neuropsychiatric developing novel therapeutic strategies.
