摘要: OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to examine the association county-level food access, recreational opportunities, and natural amenities with participant engagement in a weight management program. METHODS In cohort study, participants Veterans Health Administration MOVE! weight management program between October 1, 2007, September 30, 2013, were observed for 12 months after enrollment. Engagement measured as number visits per year at months. Cross-sectional analysis spatial regression used county characteristics associated greater RESULTS A total 321,624 2,708 counties included. Greater older age, female sex, white race, being married, retired. After accounting similarities nearby communities, 3.1 higher each additional farmers' market 1,000 population (P = 0.01). highest living most (P < 0.001). Recreational opportunities had only small effect on (β = 0.02 months; P = 0.002). CONCLUSIONS Consideration participant's addition other known demographics factors may help explain variation programs.
