Control of epilepsy with a single daily dose of phenytoin sodium.

摘要: Fifty-three patients in an epileptic centre have been studied. All were receiving phenytoin and many also other antoconvulsant drugs. 2. Thirty-six took part a three month cross over study. There was no significant change the frequency of seizures or late morning serum concentration when treatemtn changed from two to spaced doses sodium/day single dose at 12.00 hours. 3. Seventeen acted as control group. They received sodium doses/day throughout between first second periods observation. 4. It is concluded that total daily may be given once without reduction anticonvulsant effect.
