摘要: Background Cannabis is the most commonly abused illicit drug and often considered innocuous. However, cases of acute onset neurologic dysfunction occurring in relation to cannabis use have been described corresponding cerebral imaging studies documented focal ischemic changes vessel abnormalities. Review summary This article reviews all reported presumed related events medical literature, as well pertinent human animal experimental on cardiovascular cerebrovascular effects cannabis. Conclusions seems causally several instances ischemia infarction. Proposed etiologic mechanisms included vasospasm, cardioembolization, systemic hypotension with impaired autoregulation, but available data points a vasospastic process. The exact disease remains be determined.
