Graphene plasmonic waveguide based on a high-index dielectric wedge for compact photonic integration

摘要: Abstract A novel waveguide consisting of a uniformly biased graphene placed above high-index dielectric triangular wedge is proposed and analyzed theoretically. The combination plamonics slot effect results in both the tight confinement low loss. Superior to previous studied ribbon waveguides, new design easy fabricate supports single mode transmission. Studies on crosstalk between adjacent waveguides reveal ability increase integration density by ∼2 times compared with traditional metal–insulator–metal waveguide. could be an interesting alternative realize high photonic circuits at terahertz far-infrared regime.
