摘要: The true extent of a tumor is difficult to visualize, during radiotherapy, using current modalities. In the present study, safety and feasibility mixture N-butyl cyanoacrylate lipiodol (NBCA/Lip) was evaluated in order investigate optimal combination for application as fiducial marker radiotherapy. Four combinations NBCA/Lip injection (1:1-0.1, 1:1-0.15, 1:3-0.1 1:3-0.15 ml) were injected into subcutaneous tissue BALB/c mice. changes gross histopathology, body weight, skin score, volume, neutrophil macrophage counts observed analyze effects different mixing ratios volumes, identify best combination. Evaluation according International Organization Standardization criteria further conducted test biocompatibility mixture, including an acute systematic assay with mice, cytotoxicity L929 fibroblasts delayed-type hypersensitivity tests guinea pigs intradermal rabbits. results revealed that at seventh week, 42 markers (42/48; 87.5%) still visible computed tomography (CT) imaging. No serious adverse throughout study period; however, 1:1-0.1 ml had lowest weight worst score. A review histopathological reaction inflammation, chronic granulation tissue, foreign-body fibrous capsule formation. 1:1 NBCA ratio resulted most intense repair slower degradation rate markers. general, better fusion local maintained stable imaging nodule on CT images 7 weeks final demonstrated its safety. Overall, findings safe feasible marker, when
