摘要: We present a K-feldspar–liquid hygrometer specific to alkaline differentiated magmas that is calibrated through the regression analysis of sanidine and anorthoclase crystals coexisting with trachyte phonolite melts. Partial-regression leverage plots were used determine minimum number parameters closely describe variance dataset. The derived model was tested using pairs not included into calibration dataset in order address issues systematic errors. When K-feldspar plagioclase coprecipitate from same liquid under identical P-T-X-fO2-H2O conditions, ability prediction new comparable previous plagioclase–liquid models. To minimize error H2O estimate caused by inadvertent use disequilibrium data natural samples, we have also test for equilibrium based on Or–Ab exchange between melt. As an immediate application both models, as input explosive eruptions at Phlegrean Fields. estimates dissolved match those determined melt inclusion solubility modeling. This leads conclusion our models can significantly contribute better quantitative characterization content feeding large-volume eruptions.
