摘要: Pressure waves, which are generated by intense laser radiation, can permeabilize the stratum corneum (SC) as well cell membrane. These pressure waves compression and thus exclude biological effects induced cavitation. Their amplitude is in hundreds of atmospheres (bar) while duration range nanoseconds to a few microseconds. The interact with cells tissue ways that probably different from those ultrasound. Furthermore, interactions specific depend on their characteristics, such peak pressure, rise time duration. A single wave sufficient SC allow transport macromolecules into epidermis dermis. In addition, drugs delivered enter vasculature produce systemic effect. For example, insulin resulted reducing blood glucose level over many hours. application does not cause any pain or discomfort barrier function always recovers.
