摘要: This work explains the effect of microtopography on spatio-temporal gradient topsoil moisture in a first-order stream forested mountainous area northern Spain. was also related with availability suitable microsites for forest riparian sedge (Carex remota). Topsoil moisture, presence C. remota and height distance from edges were measured 385 points along 35 transects perpendicular to stream. Soil measurements repeated three different dates. Topsoil showed sigmoid trend that defined limits wet zone at 1·25 m 0·55 m elevation above banks. Our narrower than other studies because steep slopes (25%) studied. Elevation banks more influential defining zone. In zone, values soil high constant even end dry period due continuous water flow. In adjacent upland forest, varied according rainfall. These remota.
