摘要: The French writer Vercors devotes his whole novel Les Animaux denatures to the question of defining criteria for humanity. Facing creatures they named “Tropis” (an easy way avoid choosing between anthropos and pithekos), discoverers meet with a moral, as well an epistemological problem. If Tropis are animals, nothing prevents from having instrumental, though decent relation them. humans, matter is course quite different: potential interlocutors.
