摘要: Abstract Rats were exposed to 0.5 ppm of ozone delivered for 23.5 hr per day up 180 days. One group rats was allowed breathe filtered air about 2 months after the conclusion exposure. Lung collagen and total-protein synthesis rates quantitated by biochemical analyses performed with lung minces. Other lobes from same used quantitate total protein content. Increased levels (hydroxyproline) content observed at all times sampled during exposure (3, 30, 50, 88, days); hydroxyproline days persisted postexposure recovery. Collagen measured in minces elevated sampled, consistent increased seen throughout study. The changes concurrent morphological observations occurrence mild pulmonary fibrosis.
