摘要: Four compounds containing a 2-ethylhexyl moiety [di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP), di(2-ethylhexyl)adipate (DEHA), tris(2-ethylhexyl)phosphate (TEHP), and sulfate (EHS)] were tested for carcinogenic other chronic subchronic toxic effects in 90-day 2-year studies male female Fischer 344 rats B6C3F1 mice. The low generalized potencies of the test chemicals allowed relatively high doses all these to be administered. Despite differences chemical structure, four related increased occurrences hepatocellular neoplasms, principally carcinomas, DEHA DEHP also induced neoplasms mice, while caused both rats. No considered unequivocally compound administration studies. There was positive correlation between magnitude hepatocarcinogenic response mice probability rats, suggesting quantitative potentials agents. These results suggest that (and 2-ethylhexanol, by implication) may possess some potential, especially rodent liver. organ-specific common two or more observed
