摘要: Purpose: To assess the inter and intra observer variability of subjective grading retinal arterio-venous ratio (AVR) using a visual to compare subjectively derived grades an objective method semi-automated computer program. Methods: Following intraocular pressure blood measurements all subjects underwent dilated fundus photography. 86 monochromatic images with optic nerve head centred (52 healthy volunteers) were obtained Zeiss FF450+ camera. Arterio-venous ratios (AVR), central artery equivalent (CRAE) vein (CRVE) calculated on three separate occasions by one single semi-automatically software VesselMap (ImedosSystems, Jena, Germany). automated grading, examiners graded AVR visually in order their agreement. Results: Reproducibility semi-automatic parameters was excellent (ICCs: 0.97 (CRAE); 0.985 0.952 (AVR)). However, showed grader differences as well discrepancies between objectively (all p < 0.000001). Conclusion: Grader education experience leads inter-grader but more importantly, is not capable pick up subtle across individuals does represent true when compared assessment method. Technology advancements mean we no longer rely opthalmoscopic evaluation can capture store cameras, enabling us measure vessel calibre accurately estimation; hence it should be integrated optometric practise for improved accuracy reliability clinical assessments calibres.
