摘要: Soil contamination may influence negatively soil health, which often limits and sometimes disqualifies biodiversity decreases plant growth. health is the continued capacity of to function as a vital living system, providing essential ecosystem services. Within soils, all bio-geo-chemical processes different components are combined. These able sustain biological productivity soil, maintain quality surrounding air water environments, well promote plant, animal, human health. A common criterion evaluate long term sustainability ecosystems assess soil. However, increased concentration distribution toxic substances in soils by mismanagement industrial activities, overuse agrochemicals waste disposal causing worldwide concern. major environmental concern Mediterranean countries production large quantities olive oil mill wastewater (OMW) produced during extraction process. OMW inhibits several groups bacteria fungal species, thus affecting stability. In present study, we investigated effect on physical, chemical characteristics microarthropods structure. All samples were collected from an garden Northwest Jordan. Biological index (QBS-ar) values appeared decrease with respect pollution OMW. parameters significantly depending levels Anthropogenic activities influenced microarthropod community, altering both quantity physical structure microhabitats. Preliminary data obtained this study suggest that application QBS-ar could be useful tool for evaluating surface status.
