摘要: Sound‐pressure transformation properties at the pinna of laboratory mice, Mus domesticus, were studied by measuring sound‐pressure level a continuous tone series frequencies tympanic membrane as function position sound source under free‐field stimulation conditions. The spectral transformation, interaural difference, isopressure contours and pressure difference plotted. functions showed some prominent notches throughout frequency range 10–80 kHz tested. When delivered from angles within ipsilateral frontal hemisphere, certain may be lower than that determined corresponding contralateral (i.e., negative pressure). For each tested, there was an angle (the acoustic axis) hemisphere which reached maximal membrane. However, axis often changed to new after removal pinna. Removal or modification posture expanded irregularly split 2‐dB area into several parts. [Work supported NIH HFSP.]
