摘要: Nerve injuries sustained during armed conflict will ultimately determine the functionality of injured limb, thus justifying an aggressive initial or early surgical treatment. In cases concomitant lesions limb requiring emergency procedure, nerve exploration should be mandatory, with immediate repair in low-velocity and selected medium-velocity injuries. high-velocity injuries, however, risk local infection usual extensive damage justify delaying for 2–3 weeks. highly suspected neuropraxia, surgery may delayed up to 1–3 months, as guided by clinical electrodiagnostic findings. our opinion, leaving a lesion untreated justifies its exploration, outweighs performing superfluous neurolysis.
