摘要: Certain organs and tissues of the body inherently possess capacity to regulate local immune responses. The term Regional Immunity [1] embraces concept that each tissue organ benefits from protection, but since responses often carry risk damaging normal tissues, type response is permitted locally highly regulated. Perhaps most extreme example regional immunity privilege. Especially for eye, privilege—as it studied experimentallyhas served illuminate regulation within sight. In many ways this closely tissue-specific immunosuppression as a physiologic mechanism.
