摘要: A thermochromic liquid crystal display comprises a layer of short pitch cholesteric material between two walls. An absorber covers the back rear wall. At least one wall is surface profiled with fine grating to align material. Typically 0.05 12 μm. The profile may be on e.g. μm pitch, 0.1 depth and coarse 125 groove width 100 μm, 10 other arranged give desired selective reflection light whereby observed change color temperature. Using thin flexible walls small displays cut from large sheets embossed polyester plastic materials.
