摘要: This paper presents results from a 20-year (1990–2009) simulation by RegCM3 with both 45- and 15-km horizontal resolutions. The research focuses on the source region of Yellow River its surrounding area, which is located northeast edge Tibetan Plateau very complex topography. Driven ECMWF ERA-interim reanalysis data, displays reasonable ability to reproduce spatial patterns, annual cycles, interannual variabilities regional surface climate, though model shows wet cold bias. model’s performance more close observation for than other part analysis region, application high resolution 15 km demonstrates better skill less bias mean climate larger correlation coefficients variability at most stations. However, high-resolution little advantage reproducing variations precipitation air temperature altitude. also generally reproduces probability distribution functions (PDFs) and, consequently, occurrence climatic extremes extreme indices. again proves be reliable generate over terrain River, related representation local processes.
