摘要: Differences in genetic background within two or more populations are an important cause of disturbance case–control association studies. In fact, when mixing together different ethnic groups, allele frequencies between case and control samples could be due to the ancestry rather than a real with disease under study. This can easily lead large amount false positive negative results study analysis. Moreover, growing need put several data sets coming from studies order increase statistical power analysis makes this problem particularly recent genetics research. To overcome these problems, correction strategies have been proposed, but currently there is no consensus about common powerful strategy adjust for population stratification. chapter, we discuss state-of-the-art used correcting statistics genome-wide by taking into account ancestral structure population. After short review most methods tools available, will show obtained them terms advantages disadvantages each algorithm.
