摘要: Extradural subtemporal access to the petrosal ridge and a resection of anterior pyramidal bone produced direct observation lower basilar artery, with minimum retraction temporal lobe preservation bridging veins. Two patients trunk aneurysms facing toward brain stem, were operated on by "transpetrosal approach," successful clipping aneurysms. Auditory function was preserved in one case. This approach decreases possibility damage lobe, or cranial nerves, may be helpful for surgery arising around vertebrobasilar junction at origin inferior cerebellar artery.
