摘要: Custody is the arrangement by which adults, usually parents, exercise control over person and property of a minor, defined as younger than age 18 years. Disputes custody may be settled court or mediation. A parent awarded sole completely in charge; other have visitation contact rights. Joint means that both parents to agree on major decisions. Related ethical issues include relative value placed decision biological, rather relational, continuity; differences international law; extent child’s involvement consent decision; assessing competing interests determining best interests; role expert witnesses child proceedings.
