摘要: Adopting a multi-agent systems paradigm, we developed, tested and exploited computational testbed that simulates gathering features of the social amoeba Dictyostelium discoideum. It tailored design implementation to manage discrete simulations with autonomous agents on microscopic scale, thus focusing their behavior mutual interactions. Hence, could assess behavioral conditions under which decentralized occur. We investigated dependence model dynamics main physical variables, namely density number amoebas, gaining indications process strongly depends both. This result integrates previous researches, where is identified as sole relevant variable. determined high-density high-numerosity region assuming scale-free safe. also estimated systematic uncertainties arising from amoebas off region, when coping limited resources. Finally, probed robustness simulated against both extrinsic intrinsic noise sources.
