摘要: Drawing on Connell’s (Gender and power: Society, the person sexual politics. California: Stanford University Press, 1987; Masculinities. Berkeley, CA: of California 1995) model gender relations, this paper examines patterns intimate partner violence among women who have recently left an abusive partner. In so doing, we attempt to better understand social structural factors that shape relations power control in violent heterosexual unions. The data come from first wave a longitudinal prospective survey 309 had previous 3 years. Our suggest structured inequality, namely production, cathexis, women’s risk abuse harassment after leaving, do ways coercive control. These results implications for understanding context within which male against occurs, how constrains and/or enables strategies leaving safety.
