摘要: Abstract The antiarrhythmic efficacy of verapamil was determined by serial treadmill testing in 16 patients with reproducible exercise-induced ventricular tachycardia (VT). Twelve the responded to verapamil, 0.2 mg/kg intravenously; 8 these 12 responders, an oral regimen 160 320 mg given every hours also prevented VT. Plasma concentration significantly higher responders than nonresponders intravenous but levels were similar and therapy. drug followed up while receiving therapy for 6 22 months (mean 15), VT did not recur any patient. Five had concomitant spontaneous unrelated exercise which suppressed initially as well: 4 remained free VT, 1 patient recurrence Thus, is a promising alternative β-adrenergic blocking agents. effectiveness consistent mechanism arrhythmogenesis involving calcium channels.
