Rapid induction of cytokine gene expression in the lung after single and fractionated doses of radiation

摘要: Purpose: To investigate cytokine gene expression in the lung after single and fractionated doses of radiation, to effect steroids genetic background. Materials methods: Expression genes (mTNF-alpha, mIL-1alpha, mIL-1beta, mIL-2, mIL-3, mIL-4, mIL-5, mIL-6, mIFNgamma) lungs C3H/HeJ C57BL/6J mice was measured by RNase protection assay at different times various radiation. The effects dexamethasone radiation treatment on were also studied. Results: IL-1beta major induced within first day thoracic irradiation. Radiation as low 1Gy effective. Responses 20Gy irradiation peaked 4-8h subsided 24h. With exception IL-1alpha TNF-alpha, other cytokines that investigated had undetectable pre-treatment mRNA levels not inducible.
