摘要: This paper describes a CMOS offset phase locked loop (OPLL) for global system mobile communications (GSM) transmitter. The OPLL is PLL with down-conversion mixer in the feedback path and used transmit (Tx) as frequency converter. It has tracking bandpass filter characteristic such way that can suppress noise GSM receiving band (Tx noise) without duplexer. When bandwidth of was 1.0 MHz, Tx level −163.5 dBc/Hz, error 0.66° rms, settling time 40 μs were achieved. IC implemented by using 0.35-μm process. takes 860 μm×620 μm total chip area consumes 17.6 mA 3.0 V power supply.
