摘要: In 1926, Hisaw (1) discovered relaxin by observing that the injection of serum obtained from pregnant guinea pigs or rabbits into virgin shortly after estrus induced a relaxation pubic ligament. Relaxin is produced in reproductive tract several laboratory, domestic, and primate species during pregnancy. The source secreted peripheral blood varies among species; for example, it corpora lutea rats pigs, placentae rabbits, uterus (2). Since mid-1970s when highly purified preparations began to be described (2), great progress has been made toward an understanding chemistry physiology relaxin. It now recognized there extraordinary diversity not only relaxin, but also its structure, regulation synthesis secretion, physiological effects This mandates rigorous study done on species-by-species basis.
