摘要: Background: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease. There are no standardised methods for capturing long-term control of AD. Objective: To identify how has been captured in published randomised controlled trials (RCTs). Resultswill initiate consensus discussions on best to measure the core outcome set AD. Methods: Systematic review RCTs AD treatments between 2000 and 2013, with follow-up period ≥3 months, at least one recorded ≥3 time-points, full paper available, English. Results: 101/ 353 were eligible. Methods capture included: repeated measurement outcomes (92 RCTs; 91%), use medication (29 28.7%); flares/remissions (26 25.7%). Repeated measurements typically collected 3 5 times during trial, but analysis often failed make data. Time first flare was most commonly including data (21/52). Medication-use based quantity, potency frequency application. Limitations: Included RCT only Conclusion: This illustrates difficulties measuring control, points need improved harmonization outcomes.
