摘要: Abstract The UV–VIS absorption cross sections of the α-dicarbonyl compounds, pyruvic acid and biacetyl (both at 298 K) glyoxal (at 295 K), were measured using a diode array detector. In general, current data for are in good agreement with earlier determinations. latter case, small deviations from Beer–Lambert law observed even pure compound’s pressures below 1 Torr. This behavior was not detected glyoxal–air mixtures up to 700 Torr. Comparison room temperature spectrum acid, determined first time this work, obtained higher reveals that lower is considerably shifted UV.
